Getting started
Windows app
The Windows app shows the same screen as the website, and measures what a browser can't. It hasn't been released.
What it adds
- The true polling rate of every HID pad, up to 8,000 Hz, with no prompt to allow it.
- Xbox pads read through XInput, Windows' own way, with their guide button and battery, counting their state changes.
- Motion, touchpad and battery on PlayStation and Switch pads.
- Reading while a game has focus, so you can test with the game running.
- Keyboard capture, for leverless boards in keyboard mode.
Without it, Chrome and Edge on a computer read much of this through WebHID: the true polling rate and every press of the pads it reaches, and a DualSense's or a DualShock 4's motion, touchpad and battery.
What it needs
Windows 10 22H2 or later, on an x64 or ARM64 PC. Like the website, it's free, with no ads, and sends nothing unless you ask.
